Rebecca Whitcomb
Rebecca Whitcomb was a White American woman born circa 1981. She was the wife of Aaron Whitcomb and the mother of Alexandra Whitcomb and Allison Whitcomb. Within the Whitcomb family, she managed much of the household’s social, emotional, and practical work.
Appearance and Personality
Rebecca had thick, straight hair, which Alexandra and Allison inherited from her. She was warm and gentle but quietly firm, accustomed to recognizing a practical need and acting on it. She could correct someone without humiliating them and make a decision without drawing attention to her own authority.
Family and Domestic Life
Rebecca and Aaron had two daughters. Alexandra became a physician and orthopedic specialist. Allison developed an interest in fashion and later worked as an adaptive-fashion collaborator with Reverie.
Rebecca supported Allison’s creativity within the family. Her own work centered on household management, hospitality, maintaining family and community ties, and remembering what relatives and guests needed. The Whitcomb household’s mainline Protestant social world placed value on education, restraint, service, and community obligation; Rebecca expressed those values through material care rather than ceremony. Her marriage to Aaron paired his professional confidence with her quieter domestic authority.
Thanksgiving 2033
Rebecca hosted the Whitcomb family’s Thanksgiving gathering after Alexandra invited Logan Weston and Charlie Rivera. Aaron, Allison, and Rebecca met them there. Allison, then fourteen, showed Logan and Charlie her fashion sketches.
When Charlie needed to start a tube feed, Rebecca made space for his feeding tube and pump bag at the table and adjusted the furniture instead of treating his equipment as a disruption. She found blankets and a quiet room as Charlie’s fatigue intensified. Later, Logan had a severe pain flare, and both men stayed overnight; Rebecca treated the guest room as a place for them to recover rather than an imposition. Her practical response allowed Aaron to reconsider the assumptions he had previously voiced about Logan’s disabilities without making the evening center on his guilt.
